Frederick Joseph Daniel FELDER Sr., son of Captain John Henry FELDER and Mary Elizabeth SCHAUMLOFFEL , was born on 1 Sep 1753 in , Orangeburg, South Carolina, was christened on 21 Oct 1753 in Church, Orangeburgh, South Carolina, and died in 1813 in St. Matthews, Calhoun, South Carolina, at age 60.

BIOGRAPHY: Frederick served 50 days in his fathers militia during 1779 and also served in the militia during 1780-1782. He was at the siege of Savannah. He received 100 acres at Four Holes Swamp in 1773.

General Notes: Lydia Cummins was the daughter of Benjamin Cummins, who way back in the last century, was the teller in the bank that stood where the residence of C.B. Doty now stands, and who died at the age of 96, his wife being at the time of her death about 92. Mrs. Barr was born in Steubenville. She was the youngest and last surviving child of a large family who were noted for their longevity, all having passed their 75th year and upwards.

Reverend Jonas PERKINS, son of Josiah PERKINS Jr. and Anna REYNOLDS , was born on 15 Oct 1790 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts, died on 26 Jun 1874 in East Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts, at age 83, and was buried in Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts. Another name for Jonas was Reverend Jonas E. PERKINS.

PERKINS, his son Josiah to have a staff transmitted from my grandfather Josiah PERKINS to my uncle Mark PERKINS and from him to me, to be transmitted to some descendant of the name PERKINS, Jonas, son of my son Nahum PERKINS. Proved 28 Dec. 1874. On that date his heirs were Jonas R. PERKINS of Brockton, and Rhoda K. PERKINS, widow, and his children Martha B. Loud, widow, of Braintree, Josiah PERKINS of Weymouth, Nahum S. C. PERKINS of Norwalk, Ohio, Rhoda K. PORTER, wife of Joseph W. of Burlington. Me., and Sidney K. B. PERKINS of Glover, VT.; Norfolk Probate, 14300.

• Education: 1813, B.U. Jonas gra. B.U. [Brown University] 1813, m. Rhoda, D. of Simeon Keith, 1815 and settled in the ministry at Braintree.

• Occupation: Ordained June 14, 1813, Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Rev. Jonas PERKINS - An Orthodox clergyman, born in North Bridgewater, Mass., October 15th 1790.

• Occupation: 1815-1860, East Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts. He graduated at Brown Universary in 1813, became Minister of Weymouth Union Church in East Braintree from 1815 to 1860.

• Occupation: Superintendent of the Braintree Public Schools, 1859-1874, Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts.

• Memorial: Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts. He had a park named after him.

• Land: Corner of Union Street and Liberty, Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts. This land to the north of Stetson Street, bordering on Liberty, became the property of the Rev. Jonas Perkins. He was the pastor of the Weymouth and Braintree Congregational church for many years. When the town of Braintree widened Union Street at the corner of Liberty, they took off a corner of Jonas Perkins' barn. As a boy I remember perfectly that that was an outrageous thing to do, in the interest of economy.
